Thank you for your daily efforts to further develop WKO. In early May, I had the opportunity to visit Switzerland to observe the Swiss Open. I wish to express my sincere congratulations towards the great success of the event, due to the hard work of the tournament staff and organizers, led by Branch Chief Peter Steinmann. I was able to observe the Juniors tournament this time, and I was impressed and touched by the serious approach of the competitors, and the warm support of the instructors and family members. I would like to express my deep appreciation to the kind hospitality and welcome I received during my visit.
The World Karate Championship in Weight Categories is only 1 month away. I believe that the competitors are currently in the last stage of their hard training to prepare for the strongest weight division tournament in the world. I hope you will participate in the tournament in your best condition. I also believe that the Kazakhstan Branch, the organizer of this tournament, is currently in their last preparation work for the event, and that they are faced with difficult adjustments due to sudden changes/requests. I also wish them the best in their last efforts to prepare and hold a successful tournament.
The regular meetings and seminar will be held within the series of events. WKO is a world organization based on the Budo spirit and democracy. Our comments and ideas decide the organization’s further development. Let us actively exchange our ideas and thoughts during the meetings, and make WKO the best organization in the world, full of dreams, energy, and hope. Your voices will shape the organization’s growth, and I have high expectations toward your ideas and thoughts in the meeting.
I am also looking forward to the seminar. This will be after the tournament and official meetings, and we will be able to change in our dogi, and focus on our hard training with friends from across the world. The purity of hard work and sweat is universal. Through such experience, let us further strengthen our bond and friendship connected by the Budo spirit.
The threat of war and international disputes still exist in our world today, and as Budoka, it is our mission to realize world peace through Karate. Let us further promote Budo Karate, Full Contact Karate across the world, and through such greatness, realize a world full of smiles and development. I will be looking forward to seeing everyone again in Kazakhstan.
